“But the Lord said to Samuel, Look not on his appearance or at the height of his stature, for I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7)
God has great plans for your children. He chose a young boy named David from the house of Jesse to become the king of Israel. When the prophet Samuel arrived to anoint him, David was in the field tending to the sheep. In Samuel’s eyes, the oldest son, Eliab, appeared to be the future king. However, God did not choose any of Jesse’s seven sons. In fact, Jesse himself considered David the youngest and did not even mention his name.
