God’s desire for parents is to raise a godly generation. However, raising godly children cannot be accomplished in a single day; it requires ongoing guidance and prayer support from parents and grandparents. There is a battle for the souls of our children. They feel immense pressure on every side. If we understand the strategy for prayer, we can effectively guide and protect our children from harmful cultural influences and attacks from the enemy. When our children face common challenges such as insecurity, anxiety, bitterness, and pride, it is crucial that parents engage in prayer. Without prayer, it becomes difficult to win these battles. As parents, we have a responsibility to pray for our children.
During difficult times, when we feel stressed, exhausted, and inadequate, we can always seek comfort and guidance in God’s Word. This prayer book is designed for parents and grandparents eager to pray for their children and grandchildren. It offers 31 days of focused prayer on various important topics. Since it is grounded in God’s Word, it holds immense power; His Word will never return void and will fulfill its purpose in your children’s lives as you uplift them in prayer. Parents have a divine assignment to raise godly children, and the seed of God’s Word, planted in their hearts, will bear fruit in due time.
Taking just a few minutes each day to pray these prayers over your children can positively impact their lives.
“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6, KJV)
“I have chosen him. He must direct his children to live in the way that pleases me. And he must direct the members of his family after him to do the same. So he must guide all of them in doing what is right and fair.” (Genesis 18:19, NIRV)
The Story behind the book
God’s grace has been a constant force in my life, guiding me from beginning to end. I never intended to publish this as a book. God opened an opportunity for me to write 21 days of prayer designed for a small group of parents committed to praying for their children. As I started writing those prayers, the Holy Spirit reminded me of the verse, “Do not despise these small beginnings,” from Zechariah 4:10a.When God initiates anything in our lives, it will surely bring an outcome beyond our imaginations. The prayers were shared among hundreds of people via a social media group. People are hungry for the transformative power of God’s word, and there were many days when I received follow-ups from numerous individuals, even if I was just a few minutes delayed in sending out the prayers. Since the prayers brought great blessings to many parents, the small group leader suggested extending the prayers for 31 days. By God’s grace, the prayers resonated with others and made a meaningful impact. Therefore, we chose to share these prayers with a broader audience by publishing them as a book.
